We are committed to continuously improving our products; as such, our Swiss machines can now be equipped with Micro Vibration Turning technology. When a machine utilizes MVT technology, the following occurs:

  • The feed axis vibrates a given number of times per spindle revolution, which causes air cutting zones to occur.
  • This breaks up machined chips into fine pieces and prevents long ribbons from entangling around the workpiece.
  • Nesting of chips is eliminated, preventing broken tools or deviations during the machining of a part.
  • Heat generation is reduced during cutting, which extends tool life.

Utilizing this technology offers the ability to quickly machine difficult-to-cut materials like stainless steel by vibrating the feed axis. This vibration allows for air cutting zones during cutting, resulting in smaller chips, reduced interruptions for chip removal and increased productivity.
